Coming Soon: Sony Vegas Pro 11
Just announced on September the 9th at IBC, Sony Vegas Pro 11 will be released in fall 2011, the exact date it will be released has been announced as the 11th of October 2011. The program includes many new features, and more efficient workflows. Sony Vegas Pro 11 gives creative freedom you need to produce project with outstanding professional results.
New Features include:
Allows the GPU to be used effectively, for better playback, resulting in faster rendering. Vegas Pro 11 now supports GPUS from both AMD and NVIDIA to accelerate your workflow.
Using the latest 3D technology, create stereoscopic 3D projects, as simple as creating normal 2D projects. Vegas Pro 11 allows the user to easily import, edit, and output stereoscopic 3D media. Including single or dual files, with side-by-side, top/bottom, or even line-alternate encoding. Anaglyphic monitoring is also now supported. Use the Floating Window controls in the stereoscopic 3D adjust plug-in (comes with the program), allows you to easily manage screen edge violations. Also allows stereoscopic 3D compatibility depth to the cookie cutter, cross effect, and Iris transitions in seconds.
New text tools allow the user to quickly add motion to text events with the upgraded Titles and Text plug-in. This plugin allows the user to select from a list of animated presets, and apply it to any project with simple drag-and-drop functionality. Easily create your own amazing titles with the ProType Tilter tool, which has also been improved for easier timeline interaction.
Use the enhanced image stabilization technology to reduce camera movement and reduce shaky video footage. If you’ve ever shot using a handheld camera, without the assistance of a tripod, you will be able to help smooth your footage, with a wide range of presets for different situations. The improved stabilization technology analyses movement using the X, Y, and Z axes; which results in better and smoother results.
Video Plugin Architecture
The new Video Effects plugin software developers’ kit provides new enhanced technology which enables third-party plugin providers such as BorisFX, Red Giant, NewBlueFx, and many more. These additional plugins offer Vegas Pro 11 editors a wider variety of tools for creating higher quality results.
RAW Photo Files
Sony Vegas Pro 11 now offers support for RAW photo files. If you’ve got the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack for Windows 7, or Vista, you will be able to view RAW photo files from over 100 DSLR cameras natively within the Vegas Pro timeline.
Keep multiple events in synchronization by applying the Sync Link tool. When you link two events, they remain in sync with each other, whilst the main event is moved anywhere within the timeline. When the secondary ever is moved, the main event keeps its place. This functionality enables users to maintain better control within the workflow.
Vegas Pro 11 supports DirectX, and VST effects from a range of vendors. Audio effects can be applied to all events on a single track, to busses, or as assignable effects to single media files. Apply over 30 customizable real-time audio effects with ease, as well. Automate delays, reverbs, EQ’s, and more with the enhanced envelope control for each parameter. Use automated effects like the Track EQ, Reverb, Chorus, Delay, Noise Gate, and many, many more.
